Metode koneksi dengan pipa termasuk pengelasan langsung, koneksi flensa, koneksi lebur panas, koneksi leleh listrik, koneksi berulir dan koneksi soket. Pengelasan langsung adalah metode pengelasan yang paling umum digunakan.
Menurut proses produksi, dapat dibagi menjadi: siku pengelasan, siku stamping, siku dorong, siku casting, siku pengelasan pantat, dll. Nama -nama lain: Siku 90 derajat, siku sudut kanan, dll.
